@Headbangingballls666 I also hate people who don't read the full argument I just had. I didn't compare weed to harder drugs, until the person arguing against me stated that people have the right to monitor their bodies intake completely. Thus meaning, cocaine, meth and weed should all be monitored by the taker. Please do not sling insults,? keep the discussion intelligent. @LandonRoseman Yeah unlike those poisonous plants, weed is not poisonous and thus its JUST a plant. "Just" in this sentence represents its innocence and? harmlessness. Thus the defense for pot with the statement "its JUST a plant" looks pretty damn valid to me.

@demonxthedk How exactly? You think everyone has the right to monitor their own intake, when all it does is bad. People can barely limit their alcohol, let alone something a lot more potent. Without most? governments in the world, society collapses. Try living in places where the government has little influence and you will see what it's like. Sure the American government isn't perfect, but you would rather have a flawed system than none at all. At least I accept your arguments and don't insult.

@demonxthedk This is where we disagree. I believe that many people are far too stupid or ignorant on the matter to be able? to medically decide what substances they can take. Along with that, drugs like Meth and Cocaine put more than just that person taking the drugs into harm. There are many substances worse than marijuana and they all destroy your body and brain. You might not like it, but governments do a lot more good than bad.

@demonxthedk Doesn't cocaine, heroin and opium come from plants as well? So we should let all those people go then right? I can understand when people are arguing that people shouldn't be going to jail, but I don't like it when people want to legalize? weed so that they can sit on their ass and smoke a joint. In my mind, if you seriously care about the people wrongly being sent to jail, then good. If you just want to smoke marijuana because you like it, then you can just f**k off.

@JakeJohnRogers Kinda ya...Its a plant that should have never been illegal in the first place, up to 200,000 people per year go to jail for only marijuana possession, And it costs $25,000 just to house 1 inmate for 1 year, People? should NOT go to jail for a plant!These laws are ridiculous, but they already know that, they want people to focus on that and not focus on how they are using OUR money unwisely.

Im not anti-weed in the slightest, but people using the "it's just a plant" defense are dumbs**ts. The coca leaf contains cocaine and is highly addictive, tobacco? is a plant and it destroys your lungs, opium is made from poppy plants. I haven't even mentioned the fact that thousands of poisonous plants exist that are "just plants". Many "hardcore" drugs come directly from plants, so please, find a less idiotic defense for pot.

@WingedSoulies no he won't, he'll do whatever he has to stay in power. And America does know what it wants, well at least parts of it such as in California where they actually legalized Cannabis. For some reason though Obama didn't stop federal authorities from shutting down pharmacies selling Cannabis, so obviously Obama was working against the? local interests of a state that voted in favour of the legalization of the drug.

@vaguevocalist17 I didn't say you weren't, I just said if you go to college check out some of the books, why else would I say or go to your local library because you never know if someone is going to college or not. One thing though I have noticed in marijuana users is they tend to be agressive. If you talk about a subject not related to the marijuana conflict, man oh man do they get p**sed for no reason.
